Yes...but you must know the previous number of software and then find the correct file.I read somewhere that is a real pain this situation if you have not from previous back up file but only from boot mode not obd.

With ODIS it´s no problem!
Just flash anything lower than 9977.

But mine is already updated and fixed by the dealer and version is 9283(golf tdi USA model with dsg).

Is 9977 European version?

My ECU 03l906023A Flash 03L997557M 9983
ODIS-E does not recognize flash file 03L906023B 9632.
which procedure replaces the previous flash?

Thank you

Do you have ODIS-E or VCP to flash your ECU? If yes I have uploaded all software I found for your ECU, including your 9283.

For germany I can say yes: 9977 and above is definitly dieselgate software for german cars. I think for european, too - but not 100% sure

Hi, Thanks for the file but i have already tried downgrading to lower version and it worked. But i did not like the throttle response of older software and then flashed it back to newer again.I know its doing more regens with newer version but i like the throttle response of newer version.

04L906021D ecu have 3 SW updates. If you used the oldest 8278 and after reflash do not like how working throttle, than try to update on 8413 SW.

FL_04L906021D_ 8278 (MTime: 13.02.2017, Size: 2.480,41k)
8413 (MTime: 13.02.2017, Size: 2.480,61k)
9283 (MTime: 13.02.2017, Size: 2.470,20k)

thats all updates what have 021D ECU. No further updates are available for 04L906021D...

Are you sure, that you flashing correct dump to your ecu ? biggrin thinking You want flash 03L906023B dump to yours 03l906023A ? These are 2 different ecu, do not even look if theys used on the same engines.

Can you write which yours ecu ??

RE: Can ODIS be used to revert back to pre dieselgate software on my 2015 Golf TDI?
Downgrading does not make sense. The audi / VW fix It is not just a software upgrade but incorporates an additional sensor (post-cat NOX sensor).

Depending on the vehicle model and generation it could include the following too:
a new diesel-particulate filter, diesel-oxidation catalyst, and selective *catalytic-reduction converter. A second NOx sensor downstream of the catalyst also will be added, allowing the emissions system to operate in an improved, closed-loop mode thanks to another forthcoming software update.

If you like my post press [Image: postbit_thx.gif] If my post has resolved your issue press [Image: postbit_reputation.gif]

Actually phase 2 fix(which is installing second NOx sensor, new dpf,new DOC) has not been performed on my car yet.It was just phase1 (only software change) was done on my car before i bought brand new.
I wanted to test the difference between fix and pre fix software. But i liked newer 'fixed' version because of its better throttle response in spite of its more frequent regenerations.

Yes i tried 8413 (that's the one before final 'fix' software) but didn't like it.

But i liked its fewer regens. With 9283,i am getting around ~280kms between regens (city driving) but when i flashed back to 8413,i started to get ~380 to 400 kms between regens on the same route. But throttle response on newer 9283 is much better IMHO.
