XZBMW  HELP SMG BMW M5
Friends of the forum.

The car was malfunctioning with the blinking red light on the dashboard of the vehicle, at first condemned my clutch, and when it was replaced, a new light appeared, now yellow only when the car stopped at some signal or even some other place.

One detail is that the red light disappeared and the car started to decelerate normally after I reprogrammed with the ista-p in that module after coding, but the yellow light always persisted.

I passed the ista-d and the program accuses as redundant value in the marking of the gearbox.

A suspected specialist condemned the clutch again and I passed the ista d and it turned off the fault but as soon as the vehicle was reconnected the defect appeared again, or rather the information.

I went to take the car to the dealership and when driving on the road I got a big congestion, when the box gave a few strides while I was driving slowly, I stopped and looked at turning off the car, at this moment the gearbox oil leaked (green oil), hence I tried turning on the car more.

I towed and the dealership, condemned all the SMG kit on the side, however I had already changed that kit within 100 miles, and when lowering the gearbox again, now in another workshop, we found that the author had burst, Clutch collar and almost reaching the same.

I changed the clutch damper and the collar, however the car will not turn on, when I go to work it only appears the red light indicating fault in the box and the engine does not even turn.

I was directed to reinstall the SMG of the gearbox through the ista-p.
I wanted to hear from you. Thank you very much in advance.

RE: HELP SMG BMW M5
Difficult to solve without a good diagnostic with the right tools.
You should take your car to a specialized bmw workshop.
Where are you located?

RE: HELP SMG BMW M5
I am located in Brazil, State of Minas Gerais. I thought about taking the authorized BMW, however, my fear is that they always condemn unnecessary parts.

Sorry he speak the same language but we are too far away because i am in Portugal.
My advise is that you go to some good workshop or bmw dealer with ISTA D/P with ICOM and do a complete test to the car.
After that you post here the photo of the faults found.
Then someone will help you to know what is the problem of your car.

RE: HELP SMG BMW M5
Friends after that time I managed to pass the ista-d and of course I got the following error messages in the same program, as well as also obtained the following programming project of the automatic ista-p, as images below.
I was not able to reprogram only SMG, when I requested that the ista-p execute was not possible to conclude.
If anyone can help I am very grateful.

RE: HELP SMG BMW M5
On e60 smg, the smg actuator motor is very common fault.
i have changed many of these. it is supplied with CHF fluid from plastic resevoir that is clipped onto the housing at side of box.

do a full test of vehicle (ista-d) and post here with the 'show fault code' detail

RE: HELP SMG BMW M5
I ran the program again and got the following results, accessed the details and the photos follow below.
I want to note that I have already changed both the clutch and the car clutch damper, however I can not guarantee if the clutch is 100% because it was from another M5 I had, in the other it worked perfectly (year, model, all the same ).
Should I change the clutch to a new one, which suggests.

Your most likely fault is the SMG Clutch Motor.
If setpoint is not reached (meaning 'clutch pedal pressed') then car will not start. I do not feel it is clutch itself at fault.

Part number is:
23 01 7 841 032

RE: HELP SMG BMW M5
Suggest to change said SMG engine.
The one from the photo below.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BMW-E60-E63-...E0&vxp=mtr

The problem is that I have already changed this whole SMG piece to another, both the pumps and the upper electrical part, and I had not solved the problem, however, when I changed I did not reset I did not reconfigure anything of the change, and I had put a another used SMG of the other BMW that I had the disposition, even so it thinks that if I buy the new part indicated by you has great chances to solve the problem.

RE: HELP SMG BMW M5
Check clutch position sensor, unfortunately for you it sits in clutch bell housing so you need to remove it again. It's golden rule with these cars to replace that sensor with clutch.
