I think it's a pretty good clone, not too many things you need to change. Correct bluetooth is a big plus.

Missing the A5780A (AU5780A), and LT1977 instead of the LT1976,

and more minor a few differences in voltage supressors/resistors. See fantomel's post for a perfect solution to making yours good.


Where exactly did you get this clone? As it may make a good base for a rework.

Are those chips easy to find, or are there fake chips out there as well?

Correct A5780A is for J1850 VPW, but I can't possibly be sure only GM uses it. This component is generally regarded as necessary on the forums here.

that from pictures i see has no real amb2300 so forget new fw updates also ram is crap 70ns. i would not advice you to buy it because you will remain on old odis to use since it does not have amb2300 bt module

I have now ordered the memory chips from the source that sixcode has recommended.
Anyone knows if they are genuine indeed?

I am asking, because some of you recommend ISSY memory instead.

Is there any chance to test the chips being genuine, if I have received them (besides from comparing to some pictures)?

Can I just replace the ram for the better ones ? And not change anything else like resistors? I already have a genuine AMB Bluetooth, I have ordered the issi ram from arrow,I'm not interested in flashing with it
