RE: Quality 5054a
I will be happy if I get the second pair of photos with amb2300 (with resistors and capacitors at the back) and oki with mirror mark same as my second pair of photos of this thread, not B mark which has different specs (M6636B was made by oki but should not be used with vas5054a).. Also hope the firmware pdu-api can be updated to support different odis-s and odis-e versions but also has ability to flash control modules offline (odis-e) successfully.
Oki M6636 supports SAE-J1850 (PWM/VPW) and UDS protocol. One can test support with diagnostic test function. If it fails then it means only solution would be purchasing original VCP. There is a new turbo speed flash capability with newer VCP version. I bought in the past QC mark diagnostics, and they never failed me. Hope this vas5054a does not fail my tests. This time vas5054a shell is not marked with QC mark number but seems to be the only one with full specs (sp33-c with amb2300) |

RE: Quality 5054a
I did check my Bluetooth board and I have capacitors also but need to replace the memory, I also have the 3 volt variant
Any one knows where to buy the "real" oki chip? Don't PM me for SW keys, FRM, Licences, radio codes or similar, you will not get any answer...

RE: Quality 5054a
The idea of purchasing memory and oki as spec is fine at first glance. However now we need a hot air rework station to solder these.
My soldering iron and smd tweezer tool I have would damage the board. In the past I have only removed resistors and soldered cables for retrofitting purposes. Chip soldering is a totally different animal. Youtube tutorials I guess again. Price for these will exceed VCP price I think. |
