I don't know actually (I don't have F-series). But I think you have to use e-sys for programming F-series. And you can just ignore "Connect MOST connector" message from ISTA/P.

I never ever saw that ISTA-P would ask for optical connection on F+ series car. ICOM autodetects that car support Ethernet and ISTA-P is happy to use it.
