Hi retrofitters,

My friend bought an EVO ID4 which was flashed to ID5 by a Chinese vendor and he had been using this unit with a CAN filter. Then he decided to try using fake FSCs. He bought the FSC set and during the USB bin file loading he forgot to follow exactly the procedures and ended up with a semi-bricked machine.

The unit is stuck in Country code HongKong. It can be flashed but couldn't VO code (ECU OutOfRangeError). So there is no CAFD when reading ECU from SVT. I could inject CAFD and then Read Coding Data out of it, it also allows me to FDL code on most values except changing the country code from HongKong to ECE (ECU OutOfRangeError).

His FSC method will only take an unit with ECE in the country setting.

Any idea on how to patch the country code back to ECE or VO Code?

Your vo or nbt has wrong vin, WriteDataByIdentifier..... Most times this error pops up When there is a vin mismatch

When I got this unit, I used same ZGW vin, VO vin and NBT EVO vin.

FA that you use to code it is wrong, you need to modify it to reflect the unit. It can be many things, so i cannot pinpoint what you are doing wrong, but can be DAB, GPS even wrong DVD setting will cause state that you described.

Do you have any idea why the unit let me perform FDL Code for most of the entries but not the Country Code?

You cannot change country/region on EVO, best is to find workshop who can perform that for you
