Flash File for Audi
Address 02: Auto Trans (J217)
Part No SW: 8R0 927 156 AB HW: 0B5 927 156 E Component: 0B5 20TFSIRdW H04 0010 Can I flash the above transmission ECU with firmware 10 to the latest firmware 11?? What puzzles me is that the one below says FL and the B8 car is pre-facelift. All firmware's available in audi flashdaten say FL. FL_8R0927156AB_0011.frf Any ideas? Also, How long does it take to flash the Transmission S-tronic with VCP or Odis?? Thanks If you like my post press

I will try VCP first as it is easier to flash, unless it takes long time to flash which in that case I will flash with O-E. I have not tested it with VCP yet if it gives any incompatibility messages. Why did Audi add this FL suffix in front of the control unit number? I am trying to understand why. It it confusing.
(from the 650kb size I would expect a 10-15mins flash time with VCP) . If it was more than 2mb I would use vas5054a. https://vag-flashinfo.kluthr.de/ The site above says latest is 11 with compatible firmware part name FL_8R0927156AB. So I guess FL does not necessarily mean facelift. Anyhow my engine ECU firmrware (10/2016 firmware) was also FL_8R0907115R  . I would think that if this firmware is from facelift, my tfsi produces 225hp intead of 211hp. Nice. Oups free HP upgrade. It does come with EU6 option but I could not select it. Maybe I should use the Lcode2 or I need to enter the pass before I make the coding change. (out of range). It must be the someones initials. or maybe the initials that these firmwares need flashing with a battery charger otherwise they fail???? They must mean something like maybe FL=FAIL

I have extracted the transmission file to .odx and read it with hex. It says that flash id is: FL_8R0927156AB0011, short name is FL_8R0927156AB0011 and long name is 8R0 927 156AB _ 0011. FL I believe is used because it is not an sgo so probably has no meaning. Looking forward for my battery charger to arrive.
