Different hardware MIB2 versions Q7 4M?
Just wondering whether anyone knows the difference between these two Q7 4M MIB2 "HIGH" versions.
4M0 035 035 4M0 035 041 From the two cars I have compared, they both have Virtual Cockpit, bluetooth, surround cameras, front A5 camera, DAB radio. All the connectors are the same on the rear of both units. The only thing that is different in the 4M0 035 041 has "active sound" system with amplifier in the MIB2 while the 4M0 035 035 uses "BOSE" with separate amplifier in the rear. Looking at the dataset's between the two from VCDS they are different (but both have been updated to SW 976): Address 5F: Information Electr. RE: Different hardware MIB2 versions Q7 4M?
I think the hardware are the same, just the firmware may different.
MU-P-LND-EU for EU market. MU-P-LND-RW |

The hardware is the same. it's just software upgrades. it's like 048 of 048A.

RE: Different hardware MIB2 versions Q7 4M?
Same hardware, but different market region means different law regulations.
MU-P-LND means function , -EU means market region. |

RE: Different hardware MIB2 versions Q7 4M?
For those interested, I compared a few Q7s VCDS scans for 5F variants and was able to work out the following which is based on MARKET, then whether has DAB or not, Rear View Camera or surround camera or Virtual cockpit. HUD isn't MIB2 version reliant:
4M0 035 021 MU-P-LND-EU DAB + RVC Compact + Virtual Cockpit 4M0 035 035 A MU-P-LND-EU DAB + AreaView2 + Virtual Cockpit 4M0 035 036 MU-P-LN-EU NO DAB + AreaView2 + Virtual Cockpit 4M0 035 039 D MU-P-LN-RW No DAB + RVC Compact + Standard Cluster 4M0 035 041 A MU-P-LND-RW DAB + AreaView + Virtual Cockpit 4M0 035 044 MU-H-LN-EU No DAB + RVC Compact + Standard Cluster 4M0 035 052 B MU-P-LND-RW DAB + RVC Compact + Standard Cluster 4M0 035 880 MU-P-LNS-US SIRIUS instead of DAB + AreaView2 + US Virtual Cockpit RVC Compact - reversing camera AreaView 2 - Surround Cameras (front + side mirrors) LN = ?? don't know. If "D" or "S" following means "D"AB or "S"IRIUS I think MU-"P" is MIB2(H)igh whereas MU-H might be mid/Scale version as picture I have seen of one of these selling on ebay has two SD slots + SIM. There are three versions: MIB2 HIGH - MMI Navigation plus - has surround view + virtual cockpit connectors. Has touchpad MIB2 SCALE - MMI Radio Plus + optional Navigation. two SD slots or 2 slots + SIM MIB2 Standard - MMI Radio plus. Only single SD slot All three can connect to external amplifiers. So 4M0 035 035 is identical to 4M0 035 041 but 035 is for EU market whereas 041 is for Rest of World (RW). There are also versions specifically for US market.. |
