VW too new for Ktag
Goodnight,
I want to read and write with ktag clone an edc17c64 of VW caddy of 2016 2.0 75KW. But in ktag does not leave this model of caddy, I see that in the list of cars of alientech the protocol 675 is used. Could I read and write with ktag 7,020 clone, using the 675 protocol? Or I will have problems with Tprot |

RE: VW too new for Ktag
For testing purposes i have done a EDC17C64 of Golf 7 1.6 TDI. First i used 7.020 with normal wiring.
There i got a connection error. There is also a GPT Cable within this version. On the manual there was also a extra point for Cabling on Table with GPT. 2 more pins connected to gpt cable and it was reading. After that i wrote the same file, because of testing purposes there was no car. Only a testing ECU. So i cannot tell you if car starts afterwards, but I think it will. So you can go with 7.020 If my answer helped to fix anything, then don't forget to give me some rep please!

RE: VW too new for Ktag
Hi, I have a similar problem. I'm using Kess clone with FW 4.036 and SW 2.33.
I would like to read/write a VW Caddy 2016 2.0 TDI 90kW but unfortunately it's not on the list. Could yomebody please help me how to upgrade my Kess clone? |

RE: VW too new for Ktag
Ok, understood. But my Kess with FW 4.036 and SW 2.33 doesn't show the VW Caddy IV for write option. Should I download the latest SW from Alientech or somewhere else?

RE: VW too new for Ktag
@ betrescudan:Why should I buy an upgrade for a clone? Would it be better to buy a new device?
@ alex.eobd2: I understand to read the ID, but my version even doesn't show the Caddy IV. So what do you try to tell me? Maybe I don't understand well? |
