RE: Flashing ZGW 1 to ZGW 2 & CIC & NBT bench test, Please help
Hello all,

Hope some one could help me with this question

I have my wiring harness OK to play in the bench, so I can connect to the ZGW2 and read the FA and SVT. If I want to flash a NBT or NBT Evo, should I change the stored VIN? How I could do that?

Thanks in advance!

Congratulations, what do you use to wake up NBT, USB-CAN?
What kind of diagnostic equipment is connected to the OBD shown in photos 1 and 4 that you have attached?
Thank you

Yes, i use USB-CAN adapter. To OBD connected сhinese ICOM A3 with wi-fiwink
But for programming NBT with low ZGW, without ethernet to head unit, need to use a direct connection.

Hi Comrade,
What software do you use with USB-CAN to wake up NBT?

Thanks (already pressed "Thanks")

Hi, BMW F10, production date 09/2010. Idrive 6pin.
If I flash ZGW to ZGW2, but leave the old controller 6pin (I do not change to idrive 4pin can2), will the PDC button work and will the old controller work with NBT?
Is it critical for good work navigation that only one gyroscope will work (only in ICM)?

nospeak i try you metod with step as you write:
load this SVT_IST.XML under "KIS target"
(you write load svt_ist in KIS/SVT window - but this window for calculate and save SVT_SOLL xml)
and calculate TAL next step...go to TAL processing, load haved TAL and other, start...
but my ZGW flashing...and LOST devil fubar
why you write for KIS/SVT window need only load SVT_IST.xml and where you take SVT_SOLL file for load in TAL Processing procedure?

I will try to answer your questions, I have some experience in this.

It's easy to flash ZGW, I use this method:
Go to "TAL calculation"  => Load FA from 2012/07 or above F10/F11 => Read ECU, save it as SVT_IST.XML => Edit this, change the line "Basevariant" from ZGW to ZGW2, save => load this SVT_IST.XML under "KIS target" => now calculate TAL and you should see ZGW wants a flash.
