Can a DMC III(digital music changer) interfere in any way when it is connected to the radio?

I reinstalled the software but it didn't help. I've tried pulling out fuses for different modules like Climate Control, Central Locking, Radio etc. to see if it helped but nothing. Sigh

In your first post I can see just one PCB side.
If you can share a oucs with the other side of your vcds it will be great to figure it out if your tool its the problem. Because using a vcds tool w/o GAL/ATF16V8 you will not be able to connect in that computer in your A4.
To be more clear. To be able to acces that contrer as Radio for instance in your A4 using official VAS5054 you need an adaptor VAS6017.
VCDS is using this GAL/ATF16v8 to be able to acces that controlers in some Audi cars.
But one of the chinese vcds tool is missing this chip.
So in conclusion if this chip is missing in your tool then this is your problem. If is not missing u have to try in other similar car as well

I've an Audi A6 2004. I've tried it in my brothers car that is an Audi A6 2000 and it works great. I can access all modules in his car but not in mine. Here's a pic of the other side:

It is really cheapest VCDS clone cable and you will have to deal with it's unrealible usage, if you need it for more seroius jobs you sholud consider buying at least HQ vcds clone as it is not expensive or even original tool which is not too expensive also.

I'll buy a real Ross Tech cable when I've the money. Out of curiosity, what does a HQ clone look like? Can you perhaps link me to an example? I know nothing about these cables

Look, here are a couple of pictures that depict cables that, the guys said that are HQ also in this thread you can find pictures with poor cables.

Please note the thread is about cables that can be re-flashed(probably not a priority for you).
