ZSkoda  ISTA: No flashing possible due to not connected power cord to the notebook
Hi,

since I have moved from VM to physical Hardware (High Performance Notebook with 10 Hours Battery Power). Now I have the problem that ISTA is not allowing flashing due to not connected power source to the notebook. In VM it was now problem because ISTA detected it as Workstation.

Has anybody an Idea how I can prevent ISTA to check if the Notebook is connected to a powercord? Or to change the OS to behave like a Workstation?

OS is newest Build 1709 Windows 10
HW is Lenovo T470s Notebook

Thanks in advance!

RE: ISTA: No flashing possible due to not connected power cord to the notebook
Can you post the exact error message you see, preferably from the logs?

edit: try adding this setting to IstaGui.exe.config (or the equivalent in the registry)

<add key="BMW.Rheingold.RheingoldSessionController.CircumventProgramingProhibition" value="true" />

I think this setting also allows you to flash over WLAN if you're feeling wreckless.

If you want to override the KL30 check, without hooking into EDIABAS or changing any dlls, use this setting, substituting your desired voltage (the value chosen is the default):

<add key="BMW.Rheingold.Clamp30.Voltage.Min.Warning.Pb" value="12.35" />

Thank you very much. I was not able to find any hint in the logfile (they are countless)
I will check your keys later or tomorrow and will report back on this place.

RE: ISTA: No flashing possible due to not connected power cord to the notebook
Also to note for anyone programming laptop or desktop you should change power setting to never sleep all option never sleep and hard disk never turn off , if if goes to sleep bad things will happen !

hope this helps all
