How to disable programming module in ISTA?
Hi,

I know, it is more a problem of comfort, but I want to avoid this error message when sdp files (which I do not need for diagnosis) are not installed.

Without any effect was:

<add key="BMW.Rheingold.Programming.ExpertMode" value="false" />
<add key="BMW.Rheingold.Programming.Enabled" value="false" />
<add key="BMW.Rheingold.Programming.PsdzDataPath" value="..\..\..\PSdZ\data_swi"/>

Thank you!

Also without effect is in the registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BMWGroup\ISPI\Rheingold]
"BMW.Rheingold.Programming.ExpertMode"="False"
"BMW.Rheingold.Programming.Enabled"="False"
"BMW.Rheingold.Programming.PsdzDataPath"="..\\..\\..\\PSdZ\\data_swi"

RE: How to disable programming module in ISTA?
In my experience you need to set Programming.Enabled to false, but still need PsdzDataPath to be there and not be empty.

Then what is exactly your problem? I mean programming tabs in ISTA will still be visible, but diagnosis should work.

Hi Node,

what exactly do you mean? The Path is available but I have not installed SDP-Data.
I cause of this it has only ~20MB instead of 100GB with SDP-Data.

Can the error also appear because my Rheingold Folder is not on C:\? I have it on D:\

Thank you!

RE: How to disable programming module in ISTA?
I mean you still need to have it in registry and its value should not be empty. It can be empty directory.

The problem is, when you set Programming to False, you need to set PsdzDataPath to data NOT data_swi.

Hi aknight720,

so I have to change:

"BMW.Rheingold.Programming.PsdzDataPath"="..\\..\\..\\PSdZ\\data_swi"

Can you please show me in which way I have to edit this path?

Thank you very much!

RE: How to disable programming module in ISTA?
Very good info!

I do not have this data folder in PSdZ. I have only "bin" and "host"
I am using actual standalone 4.08.31

The last time that psdzdata was with data folder in standalone was in 4.07.31. Her it has ~100mb

Looks like that this is the problem.

Maybe spider80 has removed this folder in his standalone installations?

Thanks again!
