May I ask, which interface you have gone for? I am researching but still not come to a decision which to order.
I was looking at 'VXDIAG 5054 NANO' as a entry level, such that I can learn more.

Hi all i have XENTRY DAS OPENSHELL 12/2017 when i start xentry a windows open for 10sec then close and nothing happen any idea ??

@Dee67 i am not sure which is the "best buy" for passthru device. it is very personal and depends on what you are going to do with it. there are many genuine and expensive one.

i go with vas5054a because:
1. many previous xentry passthru users said that it is okay.
2. it is very cheap
3. this is not for work. i just want to test many ideas with this xentry passthru (especially the das side). for work, i use xdos.

I shall wait for your ideas and in meantime, I may get the VXDIAG Nano to try out.
They say it is similar to Vas5050a, if it does not work then I can use it for VW, Audi.
Also, it will be another device that I hope I can give feedback on.

I have been trying to understand how this pass thru works, can someone correct me.
If I get a J2534 device that communicates with this software all setup, would this be able to diagnose and read/erase error codes without subscribing to mercedes online services?
Just like you can do in Xdos Xentry with Sdconnect?
Maybe trying to read on this subject, I may have got myself confused.

for basic you can use xentry pass thru with vass hardware
ultil you have more benz to repair you will find out what you need
