I can do it without special expensive equipment and without the ability to read eeprom ,you just need to buy a relatively inexpensive unit, but it's not too cheap

Tks for the info, it is affordable to me.
And it works perfectly in my pre-facelift W204.
Simply plug into obd it will run itself.

Be reminded that if the cluster software version is 07/??
You should upgrade the software to 08/?? or later,
Otherwise the AMG menu can't be activate.
(No matter you activate by this unit or vediamo)
