I have been reading and watching vendor videos. All I am seeing is some vendors actually reads vehicle with ICOM but i have yet to see a vendors codes a module. Reading diagnostics faults looks like it works great but coding and programming that is what I am not seeing. So this might be a duplicate request / post to some, but can members that purchase a clone that works for both ISTA-D and ISTA-P please post a vendor.

Well what kind of car are you trying to work on?

The coding and programming function is more dependent on the software you are using, not the ICOM (as long as it's good quality. Genuine ICOM recommended if you don't know what to look for).

Sorry for my lack of information post. The software i stated is ISTA-D and ISTA-P. I am looking to get more into programming, coding and retrofitting. I was interested in purchasing a clone A2 or Next, the vendors that have videos only show diagnostic side, so that is why i post the question here, if purchase a clone ICOM (A, A2, Next) has there been success with ISTA-P.

If buying a clone, get a proper A2.
The clone Next is simply an A2 in a different shell, and more money.
Xcar360.com has a nice A2, and they're quite trustworthy and on this forum.

And the ICOM will work with INPA, NCS Expert, WinKFP, Tool32, DIS, ISTA-D/P, Esys, etc.
