My clone looks identical... except for the back label lol but it has everything else even the wifi dongle, I purchased it back in March 2014...

I can see yours is a clone and the original posters is genuine.
The tell is the end were the DLC plugs in and the usb connector. A genuine is black and the usb red/orange You can see yours is white were the DLC plugs in. The usb on yours is black. I've a genuine and 3 clones I feel qualified to state this All my clones have white in the DLC socket my gen is Black. I will post a photo later. I have one clone were the pcb components look of a good quality also like yours and I bought that back in2014 also Problem with it is the serial is blacklisted.... My other two clones are of lesser quality I.e glue gun down connectors rather than clicked or soldered parts. Another tell is the thickness of the DLC cable lead itself Genuine leads are thicker and stiffer. And on the power in jack a genuine has a small manufactures logo/text molded in. |

I know it's a clone... I was just saying it looks similar and of good quality, I have a friend that has one that works over the serial port... Thats very poor quality
What happens when the serial is blacklisted, I never had a problem using mines.... Done alot if ford's, mercury and Lincoln with it... What happens with my 2014 clone being blacklisted is I cannot use it with ids software later than v98.01 I think. (Might be 97 I don't recall now as I use my genuine) |

I tried it once on 106.01.... it updated the VCMII but I couldnt connect to the car.... it did commect to the VCMII fine but I didnt do much test.... I went back to my original v86 laptop..... ----------------------------------------------------

Mine looks a hell of a lot different to your images. I haven't even got an sd card in mine. Have I been ripped off with this one?
