Hi guys,

Recently I bought Kess 5.017 (EU version, Red PCB)

I have bought it not for commercial use! Just for my car!
But it can’t read my ECU...
I know for sure that it should read Simos10 but it writes all the time: ECU cannot be read

My car is:
VW Cross Polo 6R 2010
1.2TSI CBZB
ECU 03F906070D FW 9851 Simos10

I found info that sometimes ECU can be “locked” for reading, so I tried to downgrade firmware with ODIS.
Successfuly downgraded but same result tears

I would like to ask for help of professionals!
Please help me fix this issue

I think this type of ECU must be unlocked first. I think Kess has that option for unlocking Simos ECu

Does anyone know how to unlock this damn ECU?
Maybe another tool? Galletto v54?

I had this on the same car but diesel clone not reading but my genuine tool read it.

Maybe down to the badly cracked version sw they use on v5.017 tools

What else should we expect from Chinese clone...
But I think it’s not reasonable to buy original tool just for one car!

Anyone knows about Galletto v54?

Galletto v54 works well but supports older cars

I saw somewhere that it could read Simos 10 as well, is it true?

Does anyone knows 100% working tool for Simos10???

Eu clone not china it asks for internet connection
