If you want to do it correctly do as above - go back to dealer and get the correct part.
Old (even though it's current) is for F1x New (even though it's different) is for F2x |

yes , like another said chances are you got wrong part from BMW it does happen , double check pt# on box as to actual # on box , if same then double check w BMW , if you have old part w #'s on it see if that part # is available , this should solve your problem , or if ussin istap w ibac code F G or I series , istap should give you part number I wants . good luck hope this helps you.

I solved this by fitting it anyway then changed build date in FA and flashed it, it now works perfectly
