I have here small problem, Audi A8 2003 4.0TDi with master & slave ECU.

My Kess v.2 5.017 do not have in support list this engine. If I choose 4.2TDi for read I got error message for incorrect protocol. My MPPS v.16 cant too read it via OBD2, it show error "Out of request". Battery is OK in car, the charger was connected too. Have guys any idea why?

Another think, must I read both of ECU M + S, or only M?

Friend..you must read and write two ecus (the flash memory its same) but you have to modify the two ecus. if you have bdm you can read it without problems

I would like to do, but my EU KTAG dont have option for 4.0TDi, only for 4.2TDi.

So there is no chance with Kess or KTag ... if it is Motorcode ASE it has EDC16C4. Also it can have EDC16C2

I looked in actual KSuite 3.06 Protocols, and there is no Protocol on Audi or on VW for a EDC16C2 / 4 Ecu. Also car is not listed.

You can have a chance with a FGTech Galletto, in OBD Car Drivers List, i found

mpps wont do..I made few with cmd and galletto also,all obd no problem.yust make sure you have good voltage suply

Hello, sorry that I don't do new thread, just interesting how galletto works with that type of ecus. I have already flashed by obd, engine starts and everything seems to be ok, but I'm wondering may I had to connect slave ecu to master connector before programming slave, because weird window was appeared before 2nd ecu programming been continued.
