Kangoo 1.5dci wont start
Hi guys a bit stumped here have 2 kangoos 2004 and 2003 The 2003 had a starting problem with 250000 miles on clock so i bought an accident damaged 2004 with 74k on clock started first turn.I swapped engines, ecu, immobiliser unit and key fob.The running engine had no fault codes but the 2003 one had df137 and df061 after clearing the codes they recur on new engine and wont start i have changed the glow plug relay unit from other van.I have looked at wiring for any chaffing cant see any also diesel reaching injectors
Any help please |

What live data do you have cranking?
Rpm Fuel pressure Cam/crank sync immobilizer status |

Thanks guys i have checked the inersial switch changed it just in case the crank sensor was changed fuel pressure was 179 to 230 bar, rpm car not starting and immobiliser light out used Autocom to read codes i dont know why df137 as engine had no error codes when in other van the codes were present in the other van before engine change i cleared them but they return after cranking can it be a wiring issue if so where to look
Thanks |

RE: Kangoo 1.5dci wont start
Did you use the original injectors?
Will it run if you give it a sniff of brake cleaner? Is fuel quality good? |

Try giving it some brake cleaner to see if it will run and help built the pressure up also try using a can of diesel and give the pump your own a direct feed non genuine fuel filters are bad for letting air enter the system |

RE: Kangoo 1.5dci wont start
Thanks for your reply Admiral just a quick update i gave it a spray and it started runs fine. I turned it off connected up Autocom and cleared the codes started it up again only code now is
DF061 - Preheater plugs circuit, open circuit - Permanent The fuel pressure now sits at 227-232 bar i now think the Preheater is causing the problem i have changed the loom that feeds it also the glowplug module and the regulator so i will try it again tomorrow when it is cold and see what happens Hopefully i can find the DF061 fault Thanks |
