You need to pay for it, but then you will have own copy of ETKA and won't need this copy.

There is no free solution.

Downloaded this one and another v8 from another thread. Installed this one first to see if it worked, and so far, it has been flawless.

I have it installed on a 64-bit Windows laptop running an i7 CPU with 16GB RAM. When you start the installation, the screen doesn't do anything for about 10 minutes, so sit on your hands or twiddle your thumbs. It is working, just give it some time. After it finishes installing ETKA, it also installs the Hardlock. Again, there is no onscreen action for a minute or so before this last part, so again, please wait. In all, it took just short of one hour to complete the installation.

You then need to run the Price Updater to get the prices in. Once you've done that, start ETKA, and from the Maintenance screen, click on the Update Prices button. I have also tried the Online Updater, but there doesn't appear to be any updates yet for it. The current versions are 1218,744,750 and 1218 for VW,Seat,Skoda and Audi.

Have to say a big thanks to sunaj for posting it and f33nix for creating it.

Thanks for the feedback, the first big delay is removal of old hardlock drivers and erasing ETKA folder. This can take some time, nothing shown on screen... But hard drive will be running hard.

There are no update for database yet, this version is about one day old or two.

I installed this software but I have a problem with its launch. During the start the following message appears: Error 38: Hardlock API error code 38. "In Hardlock license I see licenses" 0 "- not running.
Any idea to run Hardlock ? Thanks for help!

I would try a re-install of ETKA, as it should remove hardlock during setup.
There are a few possibles, did you get a warning message about installing a signed driver towards the end of the install? You should have seen this and it should be important to allow.

Try a re-install for now, and check upon return.
Of course there are many other causes, firewalls and other things.
