I have a F15 25d with sport seat. Last week, I bought a set of F15 comfort seat from eBay and put it in my car yesterday. The driver seat works great with a little coding. But not passenger seat. I wired pin 5/6 kan signal to R2 and 1 power line to fuse box. I suppose I should see SM2(6e) in the SVT list. But I did not. I only see SM2(6d).
Here is what I have done
1. If I do not connect to a kan signal or connect the two wires to R2 relative pin position, the passenger seat has completely no power.
2. The seat gets power when connect Kcan to same pin position as like driver seat in R2. Everything works great except forward and back button.

I am wondering if the passenger;s seat kan signal correct but have no idea how to check.

Hi, any progress?

I am doing same thing and i have some problems too. Did you change FA and recode BDC? I removed FA 459 and added FA 456. Even one seat did not work. Car had only basic drivers seat module(9306085), so we had to bought 2 new high seat modules(7943755). I tried to connect passenger module kcan to bdc and seat works. Drivers seat module had already kcan prewired so i only connect one ground and seat works too. But:
1.problem is both seats wont travel forward/backward continous, and drivers button works reversed. I think i need calibration, after coding...
2. problem is i do not see SM2(6d) in Esys nor Ista, i will check the wiring again.
3. problem is i do not see cafd under SM2(6e), cant click on detect. Unit is 23/3/18 and i have psdz 4.11.30. Maybe old esys?

2. So i checked the wires again, on drivers side it is all ok. Connector X14*1B : pin 5 KCAN2 low, pin 6 KCAN2 high, pin 14 ground, pin 15 positive, pin 16 ground. On passenger side connector X12*1B pinout is same. I reconnect passengers KCAN wires from BDC KCAN to R2(CAN terminator)like in diagram(KCAN low pin 19, KCAN high pin 6). But no difference in behavior.

3. I found out problem is with ESYS 3.28.1, i reinstalled 3.27.1 and now i CAN click on detect caf for swe button. So i chose latest i-level and i have cafd_000000b6-014_000_001. And finally coded SM2(6e). And passenger seat is moving forward/backward as it should be.

But i still dont see drivers SM2(6d) module in Esys nor Ista.

I tried to disconnect passenger kcan wires from R2 and when in Ista click on SMBF(because SMFA is not here) and activate some movement, DRIVERS seat is moving...

I think i do not understand. The car did not have sport seats, it had only FA 459-seat adjuster, electric with memory. I can try to connect to old seat module, but i bought new, because old is not for comfort seats.

Yes i did, when used esys 3.27, its ok i coded SM2(6e). But i still do not see SM2(6d) or SMFA in Ista.

I have found out, that there are more versions of R2 Bus interface:

Success, i removed ground from pin 14 in drivers seat connector and drivers seat module(SMFA) starts communicate. Thanks all for help, mainly Mainecoon6 from bmwcoding forum. Then i coded SM2(6d) and calibrated it with Ista. All works.
