I'm about to do my first eeprom dump using BDM100 to do IMMO delete. I don't think i need any help...yet. The car is a 2006 jetta 1.9pd. I've played with subarus alot but this is my first VW.
Wish me luck! |

RE: First Time BDM User
I've been real busy with work this week, but I got my ecu pulled out of the car and my bdm100 and frame are due to be here via FedEx tomorrow! By the way this is for an engine swap. I'll be getting the ecu work done with the 2006 jetta still whole and then after I get it setup right I will pull the engine and it will be going in my Toyota pickup. I'm sure I'll be asking for wiring help later on and also help getting my ecu deleted to the bare minimum and get a tune on it. Ive been reading lots and this site is the BEST I have found by a long ways. I have used ecuflash and romraider to work on subarus so hopefully I can figure this bdm winols stuff out too.
Thanks for all the support. |

RE: First Time BDM User
Well I already hit a snag right out of the box, my bdm100 drivers won't install. I am running Windows 10 and I think I have found out that I need to be running an older version of Windows. Can anyone confirm this for me that bdm100 drivers won't work with Windows 10? I can bring out my old laptop running Windows xp if needed, it's just old and slow. If I am wrong does anyone have drivers for Windows 10?

RE: First Time BDM User
I did it!!! Well at least I got me first ecu read via my bdm100. I go the old laptop out and everything went smoothly. I will update the thread as I edit the eeprom to delete the immobilizer.
