RE: [SOLVED] BMW E64 disabling active steering
so for closing the "solved" title in this solved partially discussion you need to change the steering rack to non afs rack . after doing all that is mentioned for the last 4 pages you will discover that your car is acting bad (not safe to drive ) unless you disable traction control witch is not a solution .i rather have afs error then a non safe car .because of the afs turn ratio of 2 turns fro left to right and non afs is 3 turns and the new flash abs doesn't have this kind of ratio think that the car is spinning and therefore it brake in corner .so final solution is to change also the steering rack and all problem solved .
tnx to all guys here i learn a lot about coding and programming with winkfp expert ! hope this help all of you that you want to solved this problem solution found on another BMW forum ,not tested as i don't have another steering rack right now nor the will to buy one right now . As the problem came from sterring ratio could be a solution to code szl to m5 ? As the m5 steering rack is different end ti end turns? Didnt try as i already flash abs back! Just came to my mind |
