hi all,

I got the firmware updated to 260.
I dont know if the map is really updated or not. but when loading dvd1 or dvd2 after a while it gave the error that it could not give free the information in french.

Now i applied the Audi_3GB_Fix_K0260, i reboted the system and now when loading the NAV it only stays at " Medium is being tested, wait please"

Any one knows what to do?

To apply this Audi_3GB_Fix_K0260, you have to make the browser go and when you get the black screen and tells you that the navigation data is not enabled (something like that) in that mmento you have to insert the SD card with the activator and follow the directions on the screen.

I can't do a install of the MAP's now, even 2017 or 2018...
It recognizes the map, but when it comes to install the map, the start button stays like that, i can cancel it but the start button it does not work.

Also, when i put in the map of 2018 or 2017, it stays on "Checking medium, plase wait..."

Also i would like to delete all the HDD map database of the NAV ettc, it gives by every delete the following error, as attached file

If different activators are not good enough for you, you need wait at FSC

You're the first one in this thread that introduces the Audi_3GB_Fix_K0260.
That was one of the two possibilities (besides the FSC script) applicable for 2017 maps activation as far as I understand.
For the 2018 maps, in combination with K0260 firmware, this thread talks about the FSC script:
activation Bnav 2017 rar file with one folder called FSC and one file in the root: metainfo2.txt
on a SD-card to be put in slot 2 as soon as it says that 'the navigation data cannot be given free' or something simular.

Hi guys,

Just to point out. It seems there's a problem with the map 2018 activation script.

It's important to first install the 0260 firmware, sometimes already present on new cars or cars that have been updated before (i.e. 2017 map).

The 2017 East and West navigation map came with the original FsC, and through the engineering menu the FsC (folder called FSC and one file in the root: metainfo2.txt) was applied. After activation you could either insert West or East (or both) and all was working fine.

For the 2018 maps in this thread:
Although both West and East 2018 maps are original Audi the method of deblocking the maps is obviously not.

It seems that you can only run West OR East map, and it depends on which one you inserted first and activated with the Script in this thread which one works.

So:
If you inserted West SD, installed it, waited for it to get blocked and inserted a SD with the Script, West will work.

If you inserted East SD, installed it, waited for it to get blocked and inserted a SD with the Script, East will work.

Now, if you insert the SD with East on it while West was installed you will get the error on the pictures in attachment. It will find the 2018 map, then scans for upgrades and then the message comes "No update device found".

Reading through this thread multiple members have come across this problem.

So the important question is:
How can both West and East 2018 map be used together?
