1998 Ford F-150.
Odometer Sometimes stops counting.
got another cluster form junk yard, same problems happens.
changed speed sensor,still same problem.
what to try to fix this ?

solder connection broke on circuit board . take out and re solder or just re melt all them on cluster board and clean connectors and check for loose pins in connectors

Yeah, that works for a dim odometer, but not for his problem. When the solder joints are bad the odometer keeps counting and will just not display.

Is the speedometer working? You need to get the wiring diagram and trace the speed signal through the whole circuit. A lot of them had problems with broken wires to the speed sensor on the rear axle if that is the design you have.

Speedometer is working fine.
Will dig into it
