Benz W210 bad EIS
Hi guys
Could you please help with this w210 with a bad EIS. A friend tested it with Simon touch and VVDI, both confirmed it’s bad. Was considering swapping the MCU to another new used EIS I got from scrap yard but not sure if it’s going to work. get second hand eis, read one mcu. Generate keys, make ESL and the engine ecu virgin and then adapt them .
No help for people not give a feedback

1 tried and read it with the orange and the two mcu
2 try to warm up mcu and read again with vvdi(I have done it and worked) |

Just to update, I transferred the 2 MCUs from old to new donor EIS, now the car switches on with both keys, dash come on but no crank. The ESL doesn’t click either way and the lock is stuck in unlock position. Could this be the ESL that’s now having a problem. I also noticed the EIS quickly gets very hot once connected with or without key but once the ESL plug is removed, the EIS doesn’t heat up. Please advise. Regards Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have the same problem with W220, key want to turn on and I'll change EIS and transfer both MCU to the used one.

it is wrong you must copy the mcu
someone mcu it can have an internal error better to help someone with more experience i'm trying 5 years with ezs but w210 was a problem |

i don't know why you ask for advice when you decided what to do
 and don't listen to what are you told  the problem in the eis 90% are the mcu.they are very delicate to heat. 98% you destroyed the second hand eis. you have to do what i sad before. this two elements 'hate' heat too
