mini f56 screen upgrade 6.5 -> 8.8
2017 Mini cooper f56.
Any one know if the 8.8 screen from the xl unit will fit and code from the ENTRYNAV system i have? Ive read a few post that imply that it fits and plugs in and will power on. from another forum --- This should work with the latest version of hardware and HU_ENTRYNAV with no navigation? From what I understand this is what I need to do Screen Swap then code code: HU_NBT > 3000 HMI > DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION = 8.8_1280x480 HU_NBT > 3001 EXBOX > DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display -- Now this is for the f30, so may not be compatible, just wondering. |

You have to make sure that the headunit is entrynav. Would be head unit basic media. If not this won’t work.

I have done this upgrade and it works flawlessly. I also added the Idrive and touch controls.
The code quoted is correct to get the screen to work. This was all done on a 2018 F56 manufactured date of 09/2017. |

Could you please say, is it just to remove one screen and put another one? the frame and support work the same as you already had? for the tactile idrive is simply to remove one and put the other?
Thank you . |

You will need new central instrument for the 8,8 display and new blind ring. Of course you need to code the new display. |
