Any news about this? I'm having same problem with EVO ID4 flashed to ID5 with 3.64.x data. The problem came after flashing with 3.64.x and on two different cars and screens. With 63.3 and lower I have many EVO flashed from ID4 to ID5 and used NBT screens and never had this problem with black screen, so I think that is new software that causing this problems.

Hi, i have the same problem on my f11 with evo retrofit...SOmetimes my screen goes black radio continues to play and i have to restart. sometimes it goes black and comes back again....I think the issue is the voltage regulator if you are using one....I think the voltage is to low for the APix1 screen.

8.5 should be more than enough....strange problem :P but thing is i have installed a lot of evos using apsix1 screens and never had this problem and my car has it
 )) very strange, i even changed unit screen cable voltage regulator

I experienced this issue after flash upgrade. To latest I level. Flashed it back to 4.12... still not sure if this is working solution.

I have the same problem. In two different evo, two different screens. Both flashed with same software. so I think too is software related.
