hi all,


i have a 2018 audi a8 with a faulty A5: Frt Sens. Drv. Assist (J1121) module.

the original faulty module in the car has a sticker with

4N0 907 107 AB   0259
4N0 907 107 G     H08

but when read by obd it has

4KE 907 107 AB   0291

so it has maybe been flashed previously


the new/used module the customer bought has the same sicker numbers but the read by obd says

4N0 907 107 AB 0259


when i read the dtcs of the new/used unit it has dataset errors,   and when i follow the testplan on odis it fails so i suspect that the flash file is incorrect.


i have tried to flash FL_4KE907107AB_0291_SYS1101_V001_S.frf onto the new/used unit but it fails

i also tried to flash with vcp but that fails with error message 

an invalid character was found in text content.

can anyone help me fix this error message and  flash the file onto the control module

The old module have been sw update thats why you see diferent version number that what stiker say and to fix the secound hand module just write back the   FL_4N0907107AB_0259_SYS1101_V001_S.frf

Are you sure that old version of sw can be flashed on A5 ?
For some A5 camera models on VW , when you flash older version camera is dead.
In some cases can be back to newer version again with special bootloader.
