Do you actually need to have dealer ID to register? I'm not near my icom to see what is the searial and try to register?

Once when programming a motorcycle my next heated up so that it was difficult to pick up. I was very surprised but it was not so much more. All devices with serial number for 210 are subject to modernization, and devices with 211 do not require repair.

That is not true. Mine is 211 and does require service. But I think the whole service will be to replace a metal cover with another with some plastic ring around connectors. At least for me this seems the cheapest way to solve a problem.
