RE: ICOM Next A service campaign
I found only such a difference between the two ICOM NEXT one of which falls under the service campaign.
Difference in the established self-healing fuse. |

RE: ICOM Next A service campaign
It appears to be a ceramic capacitor, though I can't see a capacitance specification on it. The value is likely printed on the other side. I have 2 ICOM NEXT arriving tomorrow, I'll try to get a value for you.

RE: ICOM Next A service campaign
It could be either a polyfuse or a varistor (alternatively called MOV), but the exact model I do not know.
P.S. The logo on it seems to be of Littelfuse Inc. Which makes both polyfuses and varistors, but given its mounted on the ground lead I believe actual ground trace is cut and a polyfuse (H2 may mean 2A rating) installed in its place (this is just an educated guess). P.P.S. After quick look at their website it looks like they use Hx marking on their RHEF series of polyfuses so its a 2A polyfuse. But then ground trace must really be cut, else it makes no sense to add polyfuse that way. |
