About 1 year ago I successfully used a solution to disable TAN code request in DAS. Thus skipping the point where it asks you to generate a tan code using the tan code generator/calculator.

I have since lost info on this.

Can anyone refresh my memory? help?

hi mate,
up to 2016-09, TAN code request is needed.
after that, TAN code does not need anymore but das has to go online.
i have patches for offline in my thread in this forum.
i will update with 2 files more for offline sam assignment 451 and 454.

to disable TAN code request, you can use the above file from @darksool, or you can try this below.
This one below is without qutomotive ads.
Backup and Replace the file in das\smart folder
