1.) Retrofit wifi antenne. (I don't need to do it, because the antenne is in place. I made photos of the back of the HU, so it's there)
2.) VO code the 6CP option in the car. I assume an authorized repair center can do it.
3.) BMW has to register the 6CP option.

How this 3rd step is going. What is the process you followed to get the 6CP option registered at BMW?

Bmw know how to do this. They send an email to someone @ Bmw that will register that

If you get your car istep/software updated by dealer or official AOS agent then you VO will be updated automatically to BMW servers

Are you sure of it? I assumed it was going on the opposire way, ie. the VO stored on the BMW servers are restored back to the car during a software update.

I recently had my F10 go in for EGR replacement. Since they have had the car all of my retrofits are now showing in the service history from BMW. Literally everything I have added to my VO is now with BMW and visible when people access the ASAP for my vehicle data. Hope that helps in someway.

Davi, did you updates msm and vcm when you have used esys to update the retrofitted modules?

Yes, as all the retrofits I have made would have been available from factory. And I have also written the FA to car using Write VCM in esys.

Yes, correct, as you write FA to the car using VCM, whenever you bring car to authorized dealership and they read your key, then all the retrofits gets automatically uploaded to the server. So mainly when you go for some repairs, oil change etc.

Will the same apply (retrofits getting uploaded to BMW server) if retrofitting a 6WB (fully digital) instrument cluster on a F36 with vin: G186115

I think that to retrofit the 6WB you have to change the production date on the vehicle... will that make that ‘bmw syncing’ thing not to work?

I would assume that you would only change the production date of the FA when you VO code the KOMBI, I certainly wouldn’t be writing an FA with modified date to my VCM. If you only VO code retrofitted ECU plus associated ECU’s with modified FA and don’t write to VCM then BMW will not see the retrofit when they scan the key.

Car production date is 10.2016.

6WB on the F36 was introduced on the first half of 2017.

I think that you can’t just install the 6WB instrument cluster, add 6WB (and remove 6WA) to the VO, and code it... am I correct?

Since the 6WB was introduced at a later production date (I think March 2017).... you have to also change the date of the FA (to for example 2017-06) to be able to code the 6WB KOMBI. Is that correct?

In any case.... is there a way to do the things that makes BMW see the retrofit when they scan the key, so it gets uploaded to their servers.... so in case in the future they have to update the I-Step of the car, I don’t have to plug back the 6WA instrument cluster for the update to be done??
