Vw Golf MIB2 no sound
I have a E-Golf 2015 with a MIB2 that doesn´t put out any sound.
Everything else works and no faultcodes, but no sound!?!? I have done factory reset and tried a few coding options, but nothing helps. I will try ODIS tomorrow, but is there any other way to upgrade the firmware on MIB2, if it even helps? |

RE: Vw Golf MIB2 no sound
No, it is not retrofitted.
Get sound when i start and then stop update in menu, but no sound from left front Looking for a way to update firmware, but no luck. Tried to change CID on my sd-card so I can use OEM map-files with software update (firmware update), but none of my 4 laptops let´s me do that via ubuntu (no good sd-readers)... Do I need correct CID to just update with OEM firmware? |

RE: Vw Golf MIB2 no sound
Hi. there are a few genuine software updates from VW themselves which I do believe solve this issue. also, there have been a few known issues at the 5F control unit (in glove box) where some connections on the quadlock connection plug have come loose, causing no sound issues or even other issues. I hope this helps.

Ok, but I switched the right side with left and got sound from right but not left, so i guess problem is internal or firmwareal

RE: Vw Golf MIB2 no sound
So VW has done there best today… and still no sound...
So I guess I have to find another unit, because my 5G0035044B (MIB1???) is probably fried… Can anybody Point me in the right direction to one unit with DAB+ that works with the big screen I have? Does a MIB2 headunits work with a MIB1 screen? |

RE: Vw Golf MIB2 no sound
Hi, the MIB2 mainunit with the MIB 1 display does not work correctly. And mainly the MIB mainunit does not work correctly with other control units in a car, where should originaly be the MIB 1. There is the software funktion "component security" and if you change some controll unit as MIB, gateway, camera, radar and so on, you have to do "componenet security unlocking" via on-line conection to VW server. And the system check the VIN number and knows what MIB belong to the car.
And doest the car have aplifier for speakers? Look under drivers seat. Good luck |

RE: Vw Golf MIB2 no sound
There is no amp under the seat.
I now looking at buying a new 5G0035020A (used) unit with DAB+ (and without WIFI and SIM). Is it possible to swap AT64A EEPROM and all is well? (anybody have a pic of it?) Can AT64A be copied/written with CARPROG? Is DAB+ just going to work (just softcoding?) or is it a FeC thing? The DAB+ unit doesn´t have WIFI, but can I just take WIFI unit from old MIB1 and put it in the "new" one (just softcoding)? |

RE: Vw Golf MIB2 no sound
So, 5G0035020A is now in the car and CP is taken care of, but has some faultcodes and is VERY disturbingly slow on the touch-screen.
Is this because the screen has been updatet and the headunit not? |
