I got the same error. what I did was uninstall 3.65.0.500 remove registry keys for it.. then install 3.65.0.500 again and then 3.65.1 it worked flawlessly.

i think the Number 3 in the application.xml is the update problem
I go to the ista p folder and delete the 3 in application.xml with editor. Looks (65.0.500)
Then i start the update and no problems. When update is finished i open again
application.xml with editor and write the number 3.
Looks (3.65.1.002)

Ista p is working

The 3 is only for the emulator?
If you work with ICOM you do not have to change anything there or?

Its not installing getting a error 2500, trying to install it over 3.65.0.500, any ideas?

Put this file to C:\ProgramData\BMW\ISPI\data\TRIC\ISTA-P\application.xml and install again.

After Installing 3.65.1 I am unable to start ista-p. Nothing happens
I tried to change the 65.1 to 3.65.1 but still no luck?

Any ideas?

Reinstalled JAVA Runtime - And Ista-P is working again

After updating successfully, i was able to open ISTA-P.
But when i go under "Administration" -> Version Status.. Client is 3.65.0.500

Did i do something wrong?

If I remove the "BMW.Taurus.WsmProvider.AgentBackend.dll" file then ista startup, but ofcource it does not work without the file. But with the file in place and using Loader 6.4L. It just will not start the Client????

I remove the "BMW.Taurus.WsmProvider.AgentBackend.dll" file then run ISTA/P Loader V6.4 Lite without problem.
Loader V6.4 Lite Generate BMW the "BMW.Taurus.WsmProvider.AgentBackend.dll" file.

or are you on 3.65.0?
