I got a HX-V2 cable which seems being a clone (not original one). I used it with VCDS 17.8.0

After testing, I can enable some features like enabling hidden menu or using Adaptation feature on Audi Q5 (8R) but any long coding is not working.

In fact when changing a features through Long Coding Helper, the VCDS tells me Changes accepted, but when I come back to the feature the case in unchecked and change is not taken in consideration

Is there any manipulation to make Long coding working or I have to go for an original cable?

Maybe some non original cables can work, but mine no. How can I know if mine belongs to the bad cables and how to know which cable is best for me

The issues belongs to the cracked solution but its not to the interface.
You have nothing to do. Good solutions for this is no sold in public. The other solution is to buy a genuine VCDS because the HEX-CAN interface is not supporting the newer protocols.
