Hi all,

has anyone figured out how to get the standard RDS text to display on the main radio screen instead of RDS+ text which is only available via the "radio text" button on the right menu option? I don't think it is possibly without hacking the firmware. REally annoys me as all cheaper car radio systems support RDS...

The issue we have with the MIB2 is that it will only display RDS+ on the main radio screen... Not many stations in Oz broadcast with the additional RDS+ information. See attached info from a TPI regarding this functionality.

RadioText is a 64-character message that can be sent via your RDS subcarrier. It’s been around for yonks, and people seem comfortable using it to send song information and positioning statements.

RadioText+ is a tiny add-on to RadioText, which identifies two specific components within that 64-character string. In most cases, this is the Title and Artist of a song.
