EDC17 PIN/SKC retrieval [Help needed]
Hello guys! How are you all doing?
I have an EDC17 which I really need to pull the pin from. It is from a scrapyard, but I bought it legally, and I have the receipt, so no issues there. I can attach the receipt if needed. Anyways, the old ECU is fried and I need the PIN of the new one to register the ECU to the new VIN. After the ECU PIN, I plan on getting the IMMO PIN/SKC from the old cluster using Vag-Tacho. Alright! I will get right onto finding out how to read it properly in boot mode, and monday I will do that and post the results here. Thank you for your time friend. Sorry if its something too trivial.
EDIT: Actually, now from what I've read I have seen I will need a Galleto or similar to dump the ECU. I will check what I can get my hands on. Since I am not yet a professional, I don't own some of the tools. Impossible to read from OBD right? I will get back to this post with my findings ASAP. Thanks once again, have a great day. |
