Main problem I see is aftermarket DPF, not original or as some previous user wrote problem with lot of smoke produced by bad intake, turbos maybe or injector components. If you still have the original DPF send it somewhere to a company where they have machine for cleaning filters and mount original DPF back.
It is not normal to have clogged clean new DPF after 1000km.

That's a biggest bullshit I have read on this forum 
535d E60 LCI and X5 3.0sd E70 both use the exactly same engine! Even DDE is the same... Same as E90 and even same as E83. 
Stop posting bullshit if you have zero knowledge about engines in BMW.
I have done a lot of DPF regenerations with removed swirlflaps and they are still running fine without any issues. And we are talking about M57 to be clear . 

I'm talking about 3.0sd engine. It's not the same as 535d. Go read a book or something.

What has ETK to do with dpf regeneration? If you don’t know how regenerations work, then shut your piehole. This is a X5 3.0sd topic, not E60 or whatever. Their regeneration process are different than others. If you don’t understand, don’t make an idiot out yourself.
Better yet, show us a little of your genius and your above zero of a knowledge about BMW engines. What's wrong with the car?

I can tell from experience that aftermarket cheap DPF is shit. Had same issue with x5 3.0 xdrive. Set regeneration to burn it empty but after some kilometers it was full again. I ended up replacing it for original dpf and so far so good. Cars driving 10k km now with new dpf no problems again.

You were so right Volum... You are bmw genuis thank you so so much ...just done the mod today and the counter went to 0 for last regen after re fit the flaps (they were ok... I've done this mod to all my bmw before...) and clean by liquid the dpf and 20km running.
