XZBMW  F46 airbag lock issue after flashing
First time I had met this problem. Flashed all ecu’s except engine as been remapped, everything went smooth during programming. Although can’t lock airbag and still flashing on cluster. There is not even procedure to lock in safety functions on ista.

Anyone meet similar problem?

Sorted, done via tool32

RE: F46 airbag lock issue after flashing
Dont use esys for full car flash
Typical issue with it, though easy to fix.
Use ista and exclude particular ecu you do not want to update next time.

RE: F46 airbag lock issue after flashing
Hi Guys,
Did anyone find a solution to this as I cannot seem to find the ABL for airbag lock on F56 unless you complete a sw update & it puts it into the post flash procedures

RE: F46 airbag lock issue after flashing
Th only way is with ISTA-P, I had the same problem with the F45 of my wife and there is no module in ISTA-D like for F2x and F3x or a working method in transmitter or TOOL32. Since then I never touch the airbag ECU again for updating.

RE: F46 airbag lock issue after flashing
Why not lock the airbag with Esys via the transmitter?

Kombiinstrumente nullen, G-Key für F-Modelle, FRM3 Reparatur, EGS 8HP ISN löschen, Benutzter Schlüssel löschen, Schlüssel für EWS / CAS / FEM / BDC, Klonen EWS / CAS / FEM / BDC, Tempolimit Info, GTS Software für M2 / 3/4, Fxx Gxx Alpina Getriebesoftware, uvm ..

RE: F46 airbag lock issue after flashing
Can be lock airbag with Tool32 for both F45/F46/F56

ACSM4.prg (or ACSM4i.prg, I forgot the exact prg)

STEUERN(ARG;VERRIEGELUNG_SG;0)

After that it won't lock immediately, you will need to let the car sleep for awhile.
