Address 16: Steering wheel (J527) 8K0953568F firmware
8K0953568F 0014 (kostal)
Where can I find the firmware above??
Mine comes with firmware 0013.

Probably will replace my slip ring with 8K0953568M 0005 so I am willing to firmwarw update before changing to this part.

Searching for firmware for the Address 16: Steering column electronics (J527) I only find 8K0953568 005 .

The update applies to vehicles from MY 2013 with steering column support from Kostal (8K0 953 568 index higher than G) with SW version 0004 or lower (TPI 2030576, SVM code 16A001).

My only possibility I guess is original VCP.

Can anyone confirm if original VCP has this firmware?

Firmware you got from dvds or from Erwin ,also vcp take there the Firmware.they not write a Owen Firmware .

The only one what they create alone and is crypted zdc files this are parameter files.

RE: Address 16: Steering wheel (J527) 8K0953568F firmware
It seems that I will have to answer this question in the future myself.

VCP has added some additional firmware which are not found on the audi flashdaten. The flashdaten is not complete. To access you need active subscription.

When I have the original VCP I will upload some photos.

Also VCP made firmwares are encrypted. Only the VCP diagnostic which has downloaded those can use them.

VCP original does not have this firmware available to download from download manager.

Also it seems that VCP systems have removed all firmware they used to have available in their download section.

However you can ask them to enable the locked options.

Did you find it at VCP Download Manager?
I believe you'll be fine with 8K0953568___0005.sgo, it's the only available file from erWin Portal right now.

RE: Address 16: Steering wheel (J527) 8K0953568F firmware
I was not aware that VCP can enable all the flashdaten firmwares with the download manager. Due to size and intellectual property/rights I don't believe they do.

The TPI applies only for the Audi B8.5 (for) steering wheel CU. For Kostal 8K0 ... J/K/L/M with SW-Version 0004 or lower there is a SW-Update (0005), which sorts out the problem with the battery discharging (TPI 2030576)

In comparison mine is B8 and firmware 0013.

The Steering Wheel hardware for the facelift I believe is different than prefacelift. Dont believe they are compatible. Probably this firmware will brick the prefacelift hardware.

However it gives 8K0 953 568 M as compatible for upgrade in parts diagram to my prefacelift B8.

Gra = Cruise control
DIS =Driver information System
MuFu= Multifunction
ACC=Adaptive Cruise Control
Company KOSTAL:
Prefacelift
......... Some older versions
8K0 953 568 D: DIS, no GRA, no MUFU
8K0 953 568 E: GRA, DIS, no MUFU !
8K0 953 568 F: GRA, MUFU, DIS, no ACC!
8K0 953 568 G: GRA, ACC, MUFU, DIS, ...

Facelift:
8K0 953 568 J: DIS, no GRA, no MUFU
8K0 953 568 K: GRA, DIS ?, no MUFU !
8K0 953 568 L: GRA, MUFU, DIS, no ACC!
8K0 953 568 M: DIS, GRA, MUFU, ACC

I have updated (some upgraded) all my control units. This is the only one that remains with old firmware. I did purchase 8K0 953 568 M for about 170 Euro (new)j in case I fail to find the firmware (well I thought that my angle sensor was failing, so I ordered one, but after calibration it got fixed). I did not have time, or I dont decide if and when to carry out the upgrade because it is not so easy. For the moment I dont have intentions retrofitting ACC, so I prefer to upgrade the firmware if possible.
