There is no need to, just select the right map area and select Lifetime. I have not tried it with the 2019-1 though, but I have manually generated lifetime maps in the "old" fsc generator for ages (by setting the map update code to 0xff) and never had any issues with it.

I formatted my 16GB Stick (disk2go) to FAT32 with Win 7, grabbed the two folders for the stick 1 on it, plug the stick into the USB port in the glove box... an than came the error message: map not complete. Please contact your BMW-Mechanical. Actually the car (X5/2013, E70) has the version 2017-2 with Lifetime FSC. Where are my fault?
