My 2011 F25 has factory fitted camera and also 360 surround view. Every time I put in reverse the 360 surround camera works fine. But when selecting the rear camera it says CAMERA FAILURE in the kombi. But the picture works fine.

As the car has BMW warranty they said I required a new rear camera which they installed. But they had difficulty coding as my car has the LCI HVAC panel and therefore they cannot code the camera because of this.

Even though it has a new rear camera, the fault is the same.

I have scanned used ISTA and got the codes. I tried to go through the steps to "learn" the camera one of the steps says I need to disconnect the camera from the module. Where is the module located on the F25?

Regarding the other camera fault code, it suggests the module is faulty or the connection. Any idea?

you have ista so all the module locations on there. open wiring diagrams and it will show where to look. error you have is LIN fault, it can be actual break in wire, it can be faulty camera bad connection, faulty camera or faulty module. strip the boot, check wire continuity, if OK borrow camera, replace it, teach in and check for faults, if still not OK, borrow module, code it, teach in, check for faults. If you do not have spare parts better visit local BMW specialist (not dealer) and ask them to do job for you for a fee.
