RE: cas / cluster bench setup
thanks everything for the help i appreciate all replies. yes i did notice after i posted i had on the kombi 29 pin as 19 on my diagram, but im getting same issue, soon as i power the device the cluster shows service light. if i insert key i coded to that module, it locks in, if i press ignition, if i have connected to INPA battery light shows connection. but nothing else happens, cluster doesnt do anything, no symbols and also i cant connect to anything using any of my programers.

PART NUMBER im using is 6135697195801,
if im using the wrong junction box, anyone have apart number to the one they are using?

RE: cas / cluster bench setup
UPDATE: i went to the local junk yard and picked up a jbbfe 2 and when i connected it, i am now able to read the kOMBI and JBBFE on INPA, but i am still unable to read cas, and ignition does nothing when pressed. tried on 4 different cas modules, any suggestions what i can try next? i tripple checked all connected, and tried with and without ELV on each cas (also i have a key made for each cas)

RE: cas / cluster bench setup
I am also trying to set this up. Just CAS and JBBE,
1. There is no wire at pin 13 of my cas
2. Strangely pin 1 on OBD is also missing but not sure why i cant get anything on pin 13 of cas plug.
3. Is ELV supposed to do anything? I held it and manipulated the plunger while pressing start and ivgave a a mighty jolt, turned ratger suddenly

RE: cas / cluster bench setup
I have had time to look at it again. Seems there is a generation of OBD that does not have terminal 1. How then does it know ignition on or off? Canbus? Must be for cars with ethernet

Secondly I notice my pin 3 and 4 compared to the diagram are swapped around
third it seems wakeup should be from pin 45 of 54 blue plug. Will try those alterations and see.

glad to see someone else on board trying to get this working. please post any results as i will continue to as well. i have a few more cas modules im going to be trying, but i have 4 cas3 modules here and dont think thats the issue in my case.

my obd2 also did not have a pin1 by stock, the e90 i took it out from had a wire on pin 9 i believe so i added the wire to pin 1. my setup reads kombi just fine and i can make changes to it on inpa, but my main concern is getting to read CAS, hopefully be able to do bench cas programing and kombi for cluster swaps.

RE: cas / cluster bench setup
Hello, I was inspired by this topic and decided to create the connection of e90 modules on the table. For now, you've managed to connect with the JBBE module. With others I have not tried yet because I do not have ELV and from what I read my CAS (CAS 3 61.35-9147220-01) needs it. I found some feeds here on the forum and plan to replace the batch in my CAS. Now I have a question, how do I upload a programmer with the whole load from CAS 3 61.35- 9147227-01 or CAS 3 61.35- 9147222-01 it will be ok? Thank you in advance for hints and greetings!

Am still not able to connect my CAS of JBBE via inpa though I have elv.

I need someone whose setup is working so we go over it one more time. Ill try wireup and FRM and see if I can read that

“Cniksor” was advised that this Diagram is for JBBF2 not JBBE have you tried JBBF2 ?

tried different cas modules, kombis, tried 3 different jbbes,

6 KOMBI -->29 JBBF

CAS3 9147227 no ELV
CAS3 9147226 with ELV

Thank wxwwxw you for a great contribution. Can you please share numbers of parts you have connected on your bench and got sucessfully working ?
