looking for a comparison between hutool / bmw engeering tool

which tool offers more functions

support how responsive

updates how often

which functions don't work or are still being fixed

can users who have either of the above share there opinion

I guess bmw engeering tool could generate a .BIN file that auto install FSC unlike HUTool
I use HUTool. It works very fine but got a little problem with latest HU_NBT2 Harman HW4.1 brand new part from local dealer.

You do realise that you use an old version and that brand new units have no VIN and that you need to do a bit of work before you can apply BIN file?

Latest HU Tool makes BIN files too anyway

some HUTool users say cant do m logo or enhanced bt coding with it & some old idrive like cic or nbt still no work

with HuTool you cant do auto install for fsc?

does all the functions work on your hutool or some don't work

I am sure, that you must inquire first with the Intel if it is still possible to buy it in your country..

I've got HU Engineering Tools, support is superb and the fact the the original FSC's are backed up and can be restored is a real USP.

I've not used the other tool so can't comment.

i only hear good about that tool & support for it

few Hu Tool users say it has a lot of bugs plus its behind on functions and still getting developed more

support from developer is slow too

What can i say from my experience - The developer may not be there at all the time, since he has tons of work to do regarding tool and updates, but one thing i can say that he will never leave you in trouble and help you for sure if it is urgent. In my opinion HUTool has more perspective.
