XZBMW  Problem to erase the error memory in ISTA+
Hello together. I have installed ISTA+ 4.13.23. Now i have some problems. The first one is that ISTA has no access tosome of the control modules. These are marked in red (like ACSM/MRS CID) .
The second is that i have a pop up while erasing the fault memory. (sorry descrition in german)
-Manueller Klemmenwechsel-
Zündung ausschaltenund Zündschlüssel mit Fernbedienung abziehen.
Even when i switch off the ignition and pull out the key nothing happens.
Car is a 52D E61 2009. Cable is a D-Can cable.

Thank you in advance Nico

For E series you could use INPA, although it should be working with ista-d also.
Maybe you have bad d-can cable ?

RE: Problem to erase the error memory in ISTA+
Hi Pico, I just setup a new computer with these INPA/ISTA Stuff. On my old computer everything with INPA expect of the N47 DDE access works fine. Possibly the setup of the cable is not correct.
I will check it later.

I had the same issue my K-Dcan cable it will not erase the faults anymore with the latest ISTA+ but when I use my ICOM A2 it works perfectly. So basically I don’t think it’s possible to delete faults without an ICOM anymore.

RE: Problem to erase the error memory in ISTA+
The popup comes because the KDcan detects no ignition.
The error memory is deleted if you confirm the popup with cancel.

Alternatively, you can use the Voltage Control Tool for Ista, which pretends a voltage and thus you can simulate the terminal change.

Also make sure your cable latency is set to 1ms. This is very important.

RE: Problem to erase the error memory in ISTA+
Hello together, first of all thank you for your replies.
Cable latency changed to 1ms.
Voltage control for ISTA installed.
I will check later if this helps. But will all this fix the unreadable control modules as well?

Brgds Nico

Usually the falsely unreadable modules with K+DCAN is the latency time setting.

RE: Problem to erase the error memory in ISTA+
Thanks to the helpful posts. Both problems have been fixed now.
Now I can start to fix the failures in the fault memory.
