XSMini  Mini F56 MSA Stopped working after Bad Coding
Hi mates! First of all, sorry for taking your time. (MSA = Auto Start/Stop Engine)

Before my first coding i did two backups on E-Sys. The FA using the Save button right after the "Read/Load" on top of the program, and the ECU using the Save button on bottom right.

My first try to change the Triple-Blink Count was successful, but reducing the "hold key" delay for closing the windows/sunroof failed and i decided to restore the backup before proceeding.

Searching the forums someone told to restore cicliking on "Load" to load the original ECU, then right click on the main ECUs tree on left and select Code. I did this with the engine on. The car started to restore, it took some time and i was in panic with the errors popping-up on the multimedia - pedestrian detection failed, sensor whatever failed. The engine turned off.

The procedure window showed an error on the very last entry. I tried to start the engine, worked, great. Tested the multimedia, tested the signal and Triple-Blink was back to normal - done! I decided to look deeper on the error later - but closed the window accidentaly.

After the restore both clock and dates were reset to zero, and also the miles "distance to service", which i would like to configure back to 4000km if possible. I then noticed that the engine stopped turning off automatically while on green and holding break. The button is enabled, and even if i disable it, even trought it gets red no message is shown on the velocimeter display. Tried with A/C off, lights off, mobile charger off - anything that would drain battery and mess with the function.

Any advices? Is there a way to completely factory reset it without risk?

Best regards

Re-Flash the ECU(s) with Esys then recode it(them) to default by detectin CAF for SWE. Do not program with engine running for any ECUs that affect engine operation.

Thanks willisodhiambo!

Found out my DME_BAC CAFD disappeared after i restored the whole ECU with the engine on.

Had to Detect CAF for it and VO code it back to original. Everything working as expected now.

Thanks!
