first time trying to make a key for a pre 04 mini with the 2 button remote. transponder was easy and made new key starts car no problem, the issue im having is programing the remote to it.

now i went to http://www.reeves.tv/mini.html to generate a barcode from the sticker on the remote chip. i used ISTA to input the info on the vehicle, but still couldn't get the remote to work, maybe im imputing the wrong numbers from the barcode if anyone can verify from the image below. and yes before trying i removed position key 1 previous remote so it was FFFF all across and ready for a new key (customer didnt have any working remotes)

The code is good.
Since you have ISTA+, I assume you have read and executed the initialization procedure? The random code actually gets initialized by the initialization procedure.

This remote is very sensitive, if you hold the bare circuit board in your hand, the initialization procedure doesn't work. You have to put the circuit board in the key shelf. Also all doors need to be closed and the battery needs to be in a very good condition. Try a new Duracell or equivalent battery, Chinese batteries don't work.

I also have seen a couple of those remotes that seemed to transmit a good signal but I was never able to code them. I have a lot of those remotes so I could easily test it back-to-back.
